Release, Relax & Shine Group
This is an initiative very close to my heart. I strongly believe that group support is invaluable, especially during cold winter months.
The Relax, Release & Shine group is open to those who find wintertime a bit more challenging and suffer from a lower mood. The group is specifically created and tailored to the needs of expats living in Warsaw. It is run entirely in English.
Autumn and winter months can be quite challenging for some of us – especially for those who are a bit more sensitive. The days get shorter, darker, and colder. We tend to spend more time at home and socialize perhaps a little less than during the summer months, which may increase our sense of loneliness or isolation. Our level of energy and motivation may dip somewhat. Sometimes, at this time of year, we may also be aware of negative feelings and sadness or anxiety may increase. This may all lead to depression.
The group’s sessions are specifically designed and tailored to the needs of expats living in Warsaw. It is run entirely in English. When you live abroad it can somehow feel as if the issues or concerns, like the ones described above, have an entirely different context – perhaps more challenging and difficult. Simply the fact that you are far away from your home country, and your long-term relationships with friends and family can be tough in such times.
We meet twice a month (in winter), learn and practice different tools and techniques that can improve our well-being and support us when we experience difficult emotions. There is space to share, give, and receive support. There are limited spaces available – up to 8 people per meeting.
