This is my aim when I work with people – including personal development courses in Well in Warsaw. They’re for internationals in Warsaw to help them raise their self-awareness and in result improve their every-day life.

 

Personal Development Workshops in person

Personal Development Workshops in WiW are usually one or two days experience of learning new life skills. 

At the moment I offer a 1-day workshop ‘FIND YOUR CALM’ that will help you manage yourself better when you experience stress and/or difficult emotions.

It could be an option for you if you’re looking for a learning experience in a group setting. The group is max 12 people. I run the workshop on a weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) usually between 10am – 5pm.

Find Your Calm Workshop

Do you sometimes feel like you are completely immersed in your thoughts? You can’t focus on your work, life or anything because you keep analysing the same thing over and over again? Do you sometimes feel like anxiety and tension are taking control – you can’t sleep, you can’t eat or you overeat, your stomach hurts and your breathing is so shallow that you can’t even tell if you’re breathing or not? You stopped noticing life and joy around you as the only thing in your head is your worry? Yes. We all experience this state at least once in our life. The state called: STRESS.

This workshop is specifically designed and tailored to the needs of expats living in Poland.

Being an ex-expat myself I appreciate that life in a foreign country can be a source of stress – you don’t know the language, you don’t understand the culture or customs, you feel stuck in your career or you feel like you’re close to burnout, you struggle in long, winter months or you just learn about the pandemic or war and you are far away from your family…You end up feeling worried, overstimulated and exhausted. And the only thing you dream of is: PEACE, switching off, letting go, sleeping well…

Stress can be experienced in different ways – anxiety and tension can take control – you can’t sleep and your head is heavy with thoughts, you don’t eat or you overeat, your stomach aches and your breathing is so shallow that you can’t even tell if you’re breathing or not. This is tough and unpleasant. It’s also completely normal and natural. You’re going through stress.

There are ways to overcome this state or ease the symptoms. And this is what this workshop is about. I avoid false promises. After the workshop, you won’t be able to avoid stress. But what I can promise is that:

DURING The Workshop You Will:

  • Learn fascinating facts from neuroscience and psychology, which will help you gain a better understanding of your own reactions in stressful situations
  • Learn and practice techniques for emotional distancing – we will zoom out and look at things from a wider perspective
  • Create your own toolbox with a number of techniques and practices that will engage both: your mind and your body
  • Learn and exchange experiences with your peers from different countries

As a result of all this after the workshop:

  • You will learn how to switch off your annoying mental chatter – that voice in your head that becomes very loud in stressful situations and wakes you up at night
  • It will be easier for you to let go
  • Your thoughts will slow down and become calm
  • Your bodily syndromes will ease off: you will sleep better, your stomach will calm down and the general tension will fade (if not immediately – after practicing the tools for a while)
  • You will know how to prevent yourself from feeling overwhelmed by stress
  • You will be prepared to handle it in a more constructive way
